MEYER and Oceaya celebrate the start of construction of the world’s first modular floating entertainment venue
Tallinn, July 1, 2024 – With a traditional steel cutting ceremony, MEYER Floating Solutions Ltd., a leader in innovative maritime construction technology, has started production of Oceaya, the world’s first modular floating entertainment venue.
As announced earlier this year, Oceaya is a groundbreaking multi-purpose platform offering dynamic experiences and marking a new chapter in the world of luxury hospitality and entertainment. Launching in 2025, Oceaya will travel to the most beautiful destinations around the world.
Bringing unparalleled engineering and floating construction expertise to this project and setting the stage for a transformative entertainment experience, MEYER Floating Solutions Ltd. is proud to bring this collaboration to the construction phase.
Attendees of Oceaya’s steel cutting ceremony, an honored tradition in shipbuilding which marks the start of the construction of maritime vessels, included executives from both MEYER and Oceaya, their teams, shipyard workers, industry partners and esteemed guests.

Construction of Oceaya is expected to complete in Q2 2025, and the first locations of its residency will be announced later this year. Some of the unique characteristics of Oceaya include:
- Modularity: innovation in design and functionality enables it to change in size and shape as required, from 6,500 sq.ft./604 sq.m. to over 12,500 sq.ft./1,161 sq.m.
- Luxurious multifunctionality: Oceaya is engineered to cater to the diverse needs of its guests and can transform into multiple configurations and use-cases, ranging from fine dining restaurant and high-end bar, a day lounge, a night club, a cinema, a catwalk, to an exclusive venue for private and corporate events.
- Sustainability: with its eco-conscious build credentials and sustainable operations at its core, Oceaya collaborates with maritime research organizations and will be involved in other projects.
- Location flexibility: Oceaya will take up residency in the most scenic aquatic destinations globally during high seasons.
