These floating wooden structures are scalable, low-carbon, and designed for healthy living. Honka Floats is the first in the world to enable scalable and cost-effective large-scale production in a short time, ideal for resorts, retreats, and residential projects.
Healthy Log Homes – Now on Water
Founded in 1958, Honka has delivered over 90,000 buildings across more than 50 countries. The non-settling massive-wood technology provides excellent thermal performance, healthy indoor environments, and long-term structural durability—qualities well suited for overwater and waterfront applications. The new Honka Fusion+ CLT log enables more ambitious and ecological wooden construction and provides a better technological performance.
Low-Emission and Renewable
Honka’s Finnish massive-wood walls absorb moisture and release it back into the indoor air, keeping humidity levels within the optimal health range. With clean air, soothing acoustics, natural materials and a calming atmosphere, the buildings are designed to support both mental and physical recovery. The low-emission and renewable timber is an environmentally sound choice, as a building made from massive wood minimizes its environmental impact throughout its life cycle.

Every structure is designed for stability, safety, and year-round comfort in varying water and climate conditions — from Nordic lakes to tropical coastlines.
First Projects Underway
The first joint project, Floating Wave, is currently in the planning phase in Hamburg. Designed as a floating surf and lifestyle platform, it will feature Honka-designed massive-wood pavilions atop a MEYER Floating Solutions-engineered marine base and building technology. Several residential and hospitality projects are also in the pipeline, with further details to be shared in due course.
A Partnership Anchored in Excellence
Together with Honka, MEYER Floating Solutions offer a turnkey delivery service, including design, manufacture and installation. Honka Floats offers two delivery models: fully offsite-manufactured floating buildings for urban or resort deployments and pre-assembled modular systems for remote or inland locations with limited site access.
